Pierre Salinger's Biography
Following a stint in the U.S. Navy, he becomes a journalist. He is hired by Robert Kennedy while reporting on the Truckers' Union racket. In 1959, he joins the presidential campaign of John F. Kennedy and becomes spokesman at the White House. After the President's death, he is named Senator of California, and thereafter becomes campaign leader for Robert Kennedy, who is killed... In 1968, he goes to live in France and in 1973 joins the magazine "L'EXPRESS", before becoming Director of "ABC Network"'s Paris office. After eighteen years in France and seven in England, he returns to the United States. He has published works including "With Kennedy", as well as two novels. Pierre SALINGER continues to act as consultant for several Heads of states and of high technology enterprises, especially in the dismantling of nuclear stations in ex-U.S.S.R. and the depletion of water supplies in the Third World. Having adhered to the USD-SYSTEM Consortium's social purpose, he became President of Honor of the Holding and Founder of the Ethics Committee which will support the consortium's worldwide democratic actions in the field of intellectual property. |
